Hatton Parish Council has the power to provide a number of services and is responsible for maintaining and managing the Sports Ground, Bowls Green, allotments, children’s play area, and the pavilion dressing rooms at Scropton Road site. An additional site Jubilee Field is yet to be developed.
The Council provide and service litter bins and dog waste bins, and ensure the streets of the village are kept clean and litter free by employing a Parish Lengthsman.
We work closely with Derbyshire County Council and South Derbyshire District Council.
Hatton Parish Council is warded and has seven wards. These are North, South, Yew Tree, Heath Way, School, Central, and Hoon.

Hatton is a village situated 10 miles from the City of Derby and 4 miles from Burton on Trent.
There is an Anglican Church (All Saints,) Methodist Chapel, Post Office, one Hotel, and one public house. Two social clubs, – Dove Side and Hatton Sports and Social Club.
River Dove forms the boundary between Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
Main employer is Nestles Ltd currently employing approximately 350 but with an expansion programme this could increase to maybe 1000. There is a local railway station with services to Derby and Crewe, together with a local bus service to Derby and Burton on Trent.
