Hatton Parish Council wins Excellence Award for Derbyshire Council of the Year
On the 19th October 2021, Hatton Parish Council was presented with the 2021 Excellence Award for Derbyshire Council of the Year by DALC (Derbyshire Association of Local Councils).
There are over 200 parish and town councils in Derbyshire and the independent judges noted “the major effort of the council to mitigate the effects of the Covid pandemic, ranging from the installation of outdoor gym equipment to employment of a parish warden to keep walking and exercise routes open. In addition, and in conjunction with ongoing discussion with residents, work progresses on a Peace & Hope Garden, a £25,000 skate park, close co-operation with local schools, and an active role in community vaccination. The judges were impressed by how the council strived to improve the community’s pride in itself and its collective achievements”.
Hatton Parish Council is extremely proud to win this award which recognises the collective efforts and achievements of the Council and the community as a whole.

Although Hatton Parish Council will endeavour to add the agenda to our website prior to a Parish Council Meeting this may not always be possible. There may be occasions where the agenda will not be added to our website prior to a meeting depending on circumstances. However, the agenda is available to view on our Parish Council notice board situated at Station Road. Adding the agenda to our website prior to a Parish Council Meeting is not a legal requirement. The legal requirement for the Parish Council is to advertise the Parish Council Meeting, date and time on the Parish Council notice board on Station Road in the required time frame allowed for such matters.
The Parish Council has compiled a list of local businesses – from taxis to plumbers, engineering services to IT and of course our local shops. You can see the list by viewing the PDF below. Please note that, for legal reasons, the inclusion of any business in the list does not imply any recommendation or endorsement by the parish council.
